Well I have finished at last! The theme is diamonds to celebrate the fact that it is now 60 years since Ruby set her World Record.

This time we have, with many thanks to John (JK) for all his efforts with the Guinness Book of Records people, been able to show the actual certificates which prove beyond all doubt that Ruby achieved a remarkable feat in 1955. With his permission I have placed them on the Home Page of this website with the ability to click on them and see them in fine detail in a new window. Thanks again John for a very clear photograph which you have taken.

So forget Madonna, forget the Beatles and let us drink a glass of champagne (or should that be Guinness?) to the lovely young lady who beat them all. Here's to absent friends - Ruby Murray, the greatest singer of all.
