Ruby's birthday

Still remember Ruby been in hull and blackpool in 60s. Play her songs all the time on my MP3
Never forget the beautiful friendly lady she was. Happy 80th ruby. Love olive xx

I've just returned from a two week restful holiday in Spain and try as I may I couldn't post a message on Ruby's website to remember her birthday on March 29th., it was so frustrating. I never usually miss such an important date. I was pleased that the date was remembered Olive.

Yes it was remembered Bernie. I discussed it with my mum on the day and told her Ruby would have been 80 had she lived. My mum came to England from Ireland in 1955 just as Ruby was in the charts and becoming a television star and she remembers her well. It was a real link with home for the Irish emigrants seeing an Irish personality on television in those days.
