home change

I am very sorry if I flattened the tone of the messages with the reminder of Ruby's anniversary. Ruby was (and always will be) a very special part of our family and we all miss her terribly, especially my mother. So apologies - it was an error. I think the seasonal front page is absolutely wonderful.

Congratulations to Gerald on the new homepage. It is very fitting especially coming up to the 10th anniversary of Ruby's passing.

I have just watched, and thoroughly enjoyed, the video clip of Tim and Julie singing at the unveiling of Ruby's plaque. Thank you for posting it.

Gerald,

Kathleen again. I also meant to say thank you in my last posting for taking the trouble to add this video.

plaque veiling confirmed

Hello Gerald

I had to write to say that I have just watched your video of Bernie's tribute to Ruby. It was beautiful. I am sorry that I was unable to attend on the day but it's nice to see more of the tribute than just the clips that were on the local news.

Plaque - tremendous success

Sorry, what I was really wanting to say was thank you for all the stories and photographs posted on the website. I did see the television coverage and the papers but it is great to see photographs which aren't for publicity.

Plaque - tremendous success

I have been very remiss in not posting any messages since the unveiling of the plaque dedicated to Ruby. I enjoyed hearing about the day from Mum and from my sister, Sarah, and her husband, Joe. Everything was a great success and everyone apparently had a great time. I am sorry that I was unable to ...

'Little One'

I feel that I must add a reply to these lovely e-mails because they have actually brought tears to my eyes. Ruby was a lovely, warm, friendly person. We were lucky enough to grow up just knowing her as Aunty Ruby. When she visited Belfast she usually stayed with us and it has to be said that we neve...

Hello Gerald Thank you for your kind words about my mother. She is fine but has had a couple of strokes over the last few years since Ruby died and it has left her that she forgets things easily. Apart from that she is good. She is certainly hoping to be at the unveiling of the plaque. Ruby and Mum ...

Hello Graham I have just logged in and noticed your query. There is nothing mysterious about spudmurph. I use that because my surname is Murphy and I was nicknamed Murph at school. Murphys are also nicknamed spuds (potatoes) hence the name. My name is Kathleen and I have been registered with the fan...

Just to let you know, following on from Bernie's message about the siting of the Ulster Hall, the street on which the building resides is called Bedford Street and is one of the main, and busiest, thoroughfares in the city centre. The Ulster Hall is very well known throughout the Province.
