I would just like to add my congratulations, Gerald, on the festive website - superb - I cannot imagine how many hours work has gone into that. Only problem - my computer is filling up with snow!

Regards to all,

Don.

Good try Graham - but it has got to be on a single for a gold star.

Best wishes,

Don.

For those who missed the programme there is a repeat:- Legends: Alma Cogan - Fabulous 1/7. The story of Alma Cogan, the tailor's daughter who became a best-selling 1950s star and a pioneer of TV light entertainment. With Bruce Forsyth, Maureen Lipman and Andrew Loog Oldham. [S] BBC Four, Mon 13 Nov,...

I also enjoyed it, Gerald. Having watched so much archive material of Alma Cogan performing, it makes one wonder how much there is of Ruby's performances stored away somewhere - if only we could see it. BBC4 TV 9pm this evening.

".......Legends. New Series. Alma Cogan, the singer who had hits in the 1950's and 1960's , before dying of cancer at the age of 34."

Can we hope that a certain superstar from the 1950's may be included in this series?

Tommy Cooper/Ruby.

That brings back memories, Graham. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Tommy Cooper, by Ruby, backstage at the North Pier, Blackpool, in 1957. Nice guy - enormous hands! She also introduced me to somebody called Bernie Burgess or something - always wondered what happened to him?????????????

Another Brain Tester..

Not a teaser as such, as there are no definative answers, but I just wondered how many pairs of Ruby's song titles you could find to link together- for example:- "I'm in love with the boy next door" - "Johny Gray". No restrictions on the number of times a song title can be used with different pairin...
