What happened to the "It's the Irish In Me" CD?

Post by David »

Months ago I ordered the "It's the Irish In Me" CD from amazon.co.uk. It had been on backorder until today, when I received a message that they have "been unable to source" it.

I think that with all of my other Ruby Murray CDs, including the recent box set, "The Magic of," and the two-on-one Irish CD, I have all of Ruby's Irish song recordings, so I have a feeling that what is on the "It's the Irish In Me" CD I already have (I would need to compare track listings to make 100% sure). However, does anyone know why this CD, which was released in March 2005, is already so difficult to find?

Irish In Me CD.

Post by Bernie Burgess »

Hello David;

I am pleased that John K. has managed to give you the information that you requested, he is always quick off the mark when it comes to assistance.

I am quite concerned that a C.D. that has only been released for a matter of months should become difficult to obtain. This might be a distribution problem, or it's Amazon that is falling down on sales. I hope that they get it sorted out because several members of the Ruby Murray website worked extremely hard on The Golden Anniversary Collection and I would hate to think that it will suffer the same fate as the Irish one.

Happy Listening David.

Adios Amigo. Bernie

It's The Irish In Me

It's The Irish In Me I don't know if any of the above members bought a copy of this CD. I know it was listed on Amazon, but there were problems with delivery.

I can tell you that it is available from a mail order company named 'Nostalgia Direct'. In fact, in their latest catalogue - which I received in this morning's post - it's described as 'Exclusive To Nostalgia Direct' which is probably why it's not been obtainable from Amazon or seen in the shops.

Whether or not you still want this disc (nothing on it that's not available on other CDs) the catalogue is worth seeing, as there are lots of other interesting issues from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s - and easy listening in general - plus a few nostalgic DVDs & Videos

The address is:
Nostalgia Direct Ltd
PO Box 1XX
Newcastle upon Tyne
NE99 1XXX
