Ruby's voice

Post by rbl.ca »

Hi, everyone.

I've often heard about Ruby's "husky" or "gravelly" voice (on low notes and when speaking), but no one has ever mentioned how true and strong were her higher notes. Although I love her husky low notes, even when they occassionally "catch" in her throat, it's the clarity, purity, and strength of her higher notes that thrill me most.

Regards to all.

Hi Ralph, yes I agree with you Ruby was very sweet on her higher notes, but she was more happy mid range. I always liked the husky side of her voice, one song in particular was Honestly I Do near the end she speaks the word "Honestly", and I can remember I use to play that part over and over again, until my mother got sick of me playing it, and I use to get told off. I don't know if you have that song, but if not I will gladly email it you.
Regards
John.
